Robert’s Update
We are off and running!
We have been hard at work for several months, but this past week was our official campaign kickoff. The rain stayed away, the energy was high, and the turnout exceeded expectations. Everyone — our supporters, volunteers, friends and more — came to boost the campaign and learn more about why I’m running for Mayor. Thanks to everyone who made it possible – the event organizers, sponsors, ice-cream scoopers and more.
There were a lot of families in attendance, too. That is what this campaign is all about – keeping Meridian a community built around families and providing what we need to thrive. We want sound job wages, reduced commute times, great parks, responsible growth, schools which aren’t overcrowded and roads that aren’t congested. I am committed to meeting those goals.
Couldn’t attend? No problem — you can watch a video of my remarks here.
As part of the kickoff, we also launched our campaign website, simisonformeridian.com. Here, people can learn more about me, why I’m running, and the issues that are important in this election. Take a look!
With summer upon us, we will be attending several community events, interacting with voters and sharing our message for Meridian. If you ever have an event you think I should be at, a neighbor who wants to talk, or an idea you want to share, please email me here.
To stay more informed about the campaign, please follow our Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter personal / campaign accounts.
Thanks for your continued interest and support!
Campaign Kickoff
We want to thank those who elevated our campaign kickoff in Generations Plaza to great heights. Sista Sarah and Pocket of Bones played live music, Deja Brew served terrific food and gave away some free or discounted coffees, Heritage Hop Haus provided adult beverages and the campaign served root beer floats. This would not have happened without our kickoff sponsors!
